So are you just replacing the center section? Sounds like you already have
the rear...
If so I'd be tempted to just have a muffler shop make that section - minus
center resonator. Reattach to your cat and you're good to go.
I'm no expert but I don't see how a 3" center would give any performance
gain when you have a stock size (2.5") rear muffler...almost seems like it
could be a detriment going form wide to narrow, so to speak....
