[urq] Clutch Slave Cyl. Replacement...(bit more help?)

So finally got the retaining pin tapped out (3/16" punch seems to work
perfectly) using the punch/socket/extension method per Bill B.....Now...the
S/C will not budge. It looks like I'll need to disconnect the shift select
lever just behind it to make way for r&r, but as far as getting the thing to
budge...from the looks of some light corrosion on the outside of the tranny
case and S/C it appears its going to require some major prying or more
likely tapping to come loose. Again, the tight space seems the hindrance.
Any more sage advice? The car's been parked since Jan. 16th with this
injury: (I know I know, I'm a craphead, lots going on, blah blah) and I'm
anxious to get this one completed.
TIA for any thoughts!!
-Jon
