[urq] knocking sound under braking

Johan,

What you're describing may be caused by worn control arm bushings, which can allow the
(left side?) control arm to move back and forth under fore-and-aft loads -- like braking
and accelerating. I don't find it too hard to believe that it might pull to the right
under braking (and if the left control arm is shifting backward) or that you might not
notice the shift under more gentle braking. Worth checking, in my opinion.

Subject: [urq] knocking sound under braking

lately I have noticed a knocking sound almost every time I apply the brakes
softly, this knocking sound also appears sometimes when I open the throttle.

The sound comes from the front left...

Also worth mentioning is that the brakes pull to the right when I press the
pedal fast and hard. If I press the pedal progressively then the car brakes
perfectly in a straight line.

Has anyone had the same sort of experience?

Cheers,
