[urq] 2 urqs on ebay

Hi,
Since this is my first post, I wanted to take a second to introduce myself.  My name is Ken, I have been reading this list for about a year now and tracking AudiFans, eBay, and VWvortex classifieds looking for an UrQ in my price range.  I am in southeastern Michigan, about 45 minutes from the dealer selling the two on eBay.  I have been looking for something to do this winter and I am planning to take a look at them this week.  The Gobi one seems to only have undercarriage rust, where as the Mars one seems to have some body rot.
I am reluctant to go for an '83 becuase it seems like the eletrical systems got better by '84 and '85, but I'm foolish and have a lot of energy.  Is anyone interested in going with me to take a look or any pointers on what to look for, or anything I should report back?  I am looking for a project, not a basket case.  
Restoring a #5 condition car like this is a labor of love, but I am worried about having to spend $5000 on NLA parts when having something in reasonable condition would be $5000 to begin with.  Sorry about being long winded, I am enthusiastic to finally get one of these, but I have waited this long so if one of these isnt the one, I will keep looking.
