I don't want to diminish the advice of those who point out that the '83s
tend to have more wiring trouble than the later cars, they are not wrong.
But if you find a car in good shape that does have the old-style wiring, I
don't think it's reason enough by itself to dismiss that car as a possible
purchase. I've had only electrical problem with my car, and it was an easy
fix.
