[urq] rear subframe, AAARGH!

Hi Guys,

I was driving happily around in my -88 urq, and then all of a sudden the
back of the car started to feel wobbly, every time I made a small steering
input the car turned quite much. I stopped and had a look around and to my
horror I noticed that the rear subframe was loose on both sides. The
rearmost fastening point (they didn't look like the rubber bushings used on
the front fastening point of the rear subframe) had packed up on both sides.

I am pretty sure I noticed this the moment the both of them were loose, so I
do not think I have driven the car for many kilometers in this sate. But it
is possible that one side has been loose for a longer time. My questions: is
this an usual weak spot on the urq? Is it possible that the transmission to
the rear wheels has suffered of those few km (maybe 5km) of slow driving to
the garage?

Luckily I was nearby the finnish Audi distributor, so I drove to their
garage. They said they will have the car ready for friday. Can't wait...

Cheers,
