Steve-have you tried a place like AM Cars or 4-rings spares in the UK? They
will ship stateside.

Also, check with Dads in California-I got control arms and CIS fuel lines
there...

HTH,
Jim

Well I need a left front housing but have been sitting on the fence for 2
years waiting for a good used buy. Mine is a bit bent. 857 412 025B I
believe. I could wait another 2 years also - but waiting the last 2 years
just got me is shokan doesn't have any left.

Audi said there are none in the US supply chain - but they could call
Germany to see if it's available. Last price was about $780, I like new
parts. I didn't have them call germany. Used - well it's a tough
suspension part - but maybe rust could weaken it?

Maybe I don't need audi of america. I'll be in italy (rome) for 4 weeks
and maybe could buy in Italy or try to Germany if i could actually pick it
up immediately. Anyone on to the pulse of this part's availablity in Italy
or Germany? Are there sales tax type of issues making one county cheaper
than the other to purchase. Touch to pack in my suitcase.

  steve
