Use the bolts, and attach them from the engine-bay side. Studs are
meant to be secured from the inside IIRC.

Subject: [urq] Clutch master cylinder
Hi guys,
I have a new clutch master cylinder that has studs for attaching to the
fire wall. My 83 Ur-q old cylinder used bolts for this purpose. Is it
a common practice to remove the studs and dill out the threads so that I
can use the bolts on the new cylinder? Any BTDT?
TIA
Regards
Lino
