My computer was unable to show me the photo, so forgive me if this is off base. I have had a similar problem with both my 87 CGT (w/ sunroof) and my 83 Urq (w/o sunroof). I had water in the spare wheel well, and in the main part as well. It turned out to be getting in through the holes behind the black trim panels, and the reflector bar just below them on the trunk lid. I pulled them off and resealed the contact surfaces and bolt holes with black silicone sealant. I also pulled the bolts out for the spoiler one by one, and sealed them too, since I thought it was a possibility as well. Also, I believe there is a small rubber grommet in the bottom of the spare tire area, and the cubbie on the other side as well. If those aren't sealing properly, that could be a contributing factor if you drive in the rain a lot. Best of luck.
Cheers, Dan
