[urq] What cause overboost ?

Martin,

I have both yello and blue tagged ECU's and they interchange without doing
anything to the pinout. What rewiring supposedly needs to be done?

Also, What would you recommend as an inexpensive A/F meter? Perhaps I
could put a few together - I believe there was a DIY one too, but wouldn't
mind paying $20-30 for a decent cheap meter.

My solid lifter head for WX from '83 UrQ is 035 103 373G and the similar
head from CGT is 035 103 373G does not have sodium filled exhaust valves.
Neither have the boss. I'm curious what engine that is for.

Louis-Alain,

Early '83s had a different pinout on the ECU (yellow vs blue lable).

THis might cause some problems as well. Use matching ECU or rewire the
plug.

YOu can see the valves throuhg the oil fill cap. It's clear if they are
solid or hydraulic.

YOu need to have a Air/Fuel gauge, I keep telling people that this is very
important tool for turbo engines. I had one fuel distributor running out of
fuel at 7psi, wouldn't have known that without the gauge.

Hope this helps.

Martin]
