Hi all,
My usual thanks to the list for suggestions on how to get stripped
IM bolts out of the head. There were a number of suggestions that
would have worked, fortunately the most simple was one of them. I
bought a Torx T-40 in a 3/8" drive, put it on an extension and was
able to very easily remove the 3 remaning bolts. The T-40 is actually
a tiny bit smaller than the 6mm allen, but the shape of the splines
allow it to really dig into the bolt head. It didn't make the bolts
any prettier, but I've replaced those anyway.
So now I have my new IM and TB mounted in the car, I have to find a
TB gasket and the proper bolts to mount it, and have a very large tab
on the TB shaft that inteferes with one of the IM tubes ground down.
There will also be some creativity required to fit everything in the
engine bay, but I think I'm only a few days away from my first EFI
test fire. Thanks again to everyone who responded.
