- warped discs, usually caused by overheat, disc inbalance or bent hub.
- bent hub (BTDT on my '85) however this one gets worse to a point where
braking at 30mph can cause steering wheel shudder.
I've been fighting this one on my '85 for a while now.
I have SQ calipers and originally had SQ rotors.
Initially my problem was a bent hub.
After that was fixed, I decided to use cut down S4 rotors.
I did not have them balanced and after a while they would warp.
Iitially it just feels like wheel inbalance even those are balanced. After
a while they would warp and I would have to have them re-surfaced.
Right now they are out for balancing.. so I can't comment if it has been
solved.. however this is the last resort as everything else is brand new..
:)
Now I don't know if this applies to your Subaru..
Cheers
