[urq] Mine will not read full : anyone have a fuel guage?

Bentley has a procedure you can use to tell which part is faulty. You install a fixed value resistor of specified value in place of the sender, if the gauge does not read the correct level it is the gauge (or the voltage regulator) ... if the gauge measures correctly it is the sender. IME the sender is the typical culprit (not only on Audis).
On many other similar cars you can get a clue as to whether the voltage regulator is bad because other gauges (like coolant temp) will be malfunctioning too ... but on the urq only the fuel gauge is in the regulated circuit ...

True, if the sender is not replaced correctly the float can't rise fully.

As a datapoint Steve, mine has read a hair above 3/4 of a tank when I
fill it up since I bought the car. Note that I know it's full based
on the amount I'm pumping into it.
I've heard that the arm that sits in the tank with the sensor on it
has a very small area in which it can swing as far as it needs to, and
that if they're not re-installed very carefully, this can happen. My
dad had a 5ktqa which did the same thing until he messed with it.
