[urq] Dialynx rad vs Stock rad w/ Aux rad delete

Thanks everyone for the replies. I've decided to go with the aux rad and a new stock radiator. The mint condition Nissens radiator I already had from the CoupeQ. has been 'upgraded' ie. my local radiator-shop welded the extra 2 headers for the aux rad and relocated the small header to the coolant reservoir: 40 euro's... now THAT is a cheap radiator :-)

I guess if you're in the process of getting a new exhaust manifold, rebuild turbo, oilcooler-lines and both radiators, you might want to look carefully how to spend your money ...

Can't wait to get my hands on my 'refurbished' quattro.

The aux rad was deleted a long time ago (also leaked) and never noticed increasing water/engine temps, not even during high speed travelling in summer. Although I have to say during this hot summer my exhaust manifold cracked at several places, but that's just coincidence :-)

>I was looking at the high capacity rad from Dialynx but it's not cheap. I do have a good stock 48cm main rad from a CoupeQ but it lacks the extra aux rad header. I've read in the archives a few people had no problems what so ever removing their aux rad while keeping the stock rad.

>To be honest with you, I need to cut some repairs in order to save money. If the aux rad could be removed while keeping the stock rad, this would be a major cost-saver.
