hi LA & list

well...that's supposed to be a big secret ! ;-)

the Porsche part number is :
911 375 043 00
911 375 043 07
the best mount you can get is the Meyle HD (rennsport) 414 375 002 HD
I paid 136E for four at a Porsche parts dealer.

to install, they have to be ground out 3/4mm on one side to sit correctly in
the subframes, they have a stamped lip all around and that is the part to
remove, about 3/4cm beetween the fixing holes and side center. 1' with the
angle grinder then 30" with the belt sander to smooth it out. For the left
front side, also had to grind the midle on the opposite side, it's pretty
obvious once there (could be needed also on rear right but not on my car)
I enlarged the fixing holes to 10mm and used thick washers. I also used 12.9
BTR screws and bolts.
Some shimming is needed (one or two large washers).

I only took out the car twice since I installed them but the upgrade is
evident. As I said, shifting is a lot improved.
They did vibrate a tiny bit at first but hardly noticeable (only at idle),
this is not the thing that will make you teeth fall off. And it looks like
it's quietening, last time I didn't notice any vibration.
I hate soft mounts, engine rocking and shift lever movement. They have to be
rock solid !
now, as you all now, harder mounts are more stress on components so YMMV.

I am also going to install some "Energy Suspension" Mustang/Tbird poly
engine mounts. I ordered them from within the states (with a little help
from my buddy in Idaho !) at Summit Racing

also Prothane poly snub mount :
