Yup, same here.

Yup, Tony Lum pointed me to the page showing that sender at the back
yesterday. At some point they moved it from the back to the front.
That FA page shows the rear sender changed starting in '83, but the page
with the front sender shows the flange changed starting in '84.

Yes, must be yet another screw-up in the album. It clearly shows the
white gauge sender where the black sender should be. 4KQ and CGT have
the white one.

So, that's the one I need for sure. The white one is available
aftermarket for $13. The correct black one appears to be dealer-only
and $42! I know a bunch of folks have gone for the temp gauge, so
anyone have a known good black sender they want to part with?
I'll keep the white one and add a gauge at some point (as soon as I
decide were to mount an aftermarket boost gauge). Luckily, I have the
coolant flange with three sender ports, so I can have both the warm-up
light and the gauge.
