[urq] So long, UrQ

Jon,

ur-qs have become a major PITA for a few of us to own. I think
a few more owners are going to find this out over the next few years.
Personally I think they are in denial - but that's just me.

Keep/sell the parts, or help out some other poor ur-q owner that Audi
doen't give a sh*t about.

Given the impact this car has had on the brand, the numbers produced,
and my love of the car, I will never own another new audi unless they
change their NLA policy.

I hope the next Audi you buy still has parts available ten years down
later.

Cheers, Mike

p.s. I miss your articles in Audi Driver, it actually gave some good NA
content. IMO what's her name is just a corporate four letter word
beignning with sl and rhyming with nut.

I've come to the realization that the UrQ and I are not meant to be. It's
become a major PITA to own, and too expen$ive to deal with. For a track car,
this thing is a dumb, dumb, DUMB choice.

So while I haven't figured out a price or anything, if you (or someone you
know) are interested in a 1983 UrQ with a cage, stripped interior (still
have all major parts), and a rebuilt MC motor, drop me a line. I have all
the paperwork since buying the car in 2000, and can tell you specifically
what's been done.

And if this violates the list etiquette for sales, I'm sorry.
