I love the response I got from the guy..

The headlight washers where installed in 1982 at the Audi factory in West
Germany. They are completely stock. They radiator shroud has not been cut,
its OLD... A 25 year old piece of paper after all. Cut me some slack here.
As for the broken antenna, it was powered and stock as well. Good luck."

If you take a look at the pics, there is something there under the cut in
the rad shroud..  I wonder what it is... ????

Interesting that it has headlight washers, but not the correct reservoir to
accomodate the headlight washer pump. Questions would be: A) why are the
squirters even there on a U.S. spec car and B) are they even hooked up?

Was perusing this auction just now and a lot is made of it never leaving
Southern California which typically means it has seen little more than
occasional rain.

However, this car is located in Crestline which is in the mountains
between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear and I can only imagine that the
original owner selling the car now who pre-ordered and bought at a
dealer in nearby Riverside, had it specifically because of the snow
climate he/she lives in.  This would be far more temperate than most
"snow climates", but nevertheless, it has seen snow use, even though it
has never left Southern California.

Looks nice though and I really like the idea of buying from the original
owner.
