I was in a rather fast accident in a 4kq and it fared "Rather I Fared" quite
well. I had no wiplash, the body structure did what it was supposed to and
overall it fared much better than the other car.
I don't know about the smaller A2 VW Cars, or especially the A1 cars, but
starting with the Audi 80/90q we started to see some real safety
improvements designed into Audi's. So I"m not sure what your Definition of
"Contemporary" is but I would have no problems being in an accident in a
90q. But if I"m going to get broadsided by a MAC Truck, OR and H1/H2 Then
I'd rather be in an A8. :-)
