[urq] Audi A4 bumpers are well rated

Having seen some of the Type 85's in the wrecking yard, I'd venture a guess
that
you didn't go "straight in" in your accident. The 4K's passenger compartment
seems to buckle in a header, at least based upon empirical forensic analysis
at the wrecking yard, I think you were lucky.

A1 VW's were also pretty much tin cans. A2's started having somewhat of
a "crash cage", but nowhere near what the more modern cars have. Since
the B3 cars were designed about the same time (actually, later) than the
A2's, I'd venture a guess that they are notably better than the type 85.

Of course, Physics tells us, no matter what, in a vehicle vs. vehicle
accident,
mass wins, the greater the mass, the lower the accelerations, therefore the
lower the force on the passengers. Single car crashes favor the better
designed
cars, although if they made an H1 meet the same standards as passenger cars,

it'd be invincible. Of course, it'd have to be, since it wouldn't even be
able to get
out of it's own way.
