Go to your local auto body shop supply house and buy a "Pin Stripe Eraser".
It looks kind of like an eraser your would use to erase pencil marks, but
it is a ~4" disc that you chuck up in a drill. With the drill spinning the
disc, you go over the decal you want to remove and it simply stripes it
off, adhesive and all. The worst I have EVER had it do to the paint is dull
it up a little bit and all I did was go over it with some polishing
compound an rewax. I have NEVER had it scratch or remove any paint and it
will take care of those decal in just a few seconds.
Really a slick little gadget.

Subject: [urq] Sticker time
I have obtained the door rings and rear Audi and quattro decals to upgrade
the exterior appearance of my 83. Can anyone give me any advice as to how
to remove the existing, 24 year old originals? I would like to do as little
damage to the paint as possible, and am not ready to repaint. Is there some
sort of solvent or heat combination that will safely remove them?
Thanx!
