I think Ingo may be correct, in that the brown '84 4000 
quattro glove box and drivers console are the same part. 
The switches (covers) and dash are unique.

Ingo, IIRC the 85 is black while the 84 is dk brown.

I think the driver's side knee panel is the same for '84 and '85 and
also for '85 - '87 coupe, 4k, and 4kq models.  Upper dash - now there
you are absolutely correct.
