Claus is quite correct! You can check the sender on  the bench by applying 
the correct polarity 12 volt supply to the appropriate  pins of the distributor 
connector and monitor the output of the third pin. See  Bentley for the 
connections. The third pin will switch between 0 and 12v as the  window passes the 
sensor.
