Thanks for all feedback! Great advice.
Here's what I checked out again last night:
Checked both timing reference marks on camgear wheel and flywheel.  
Check.
Checked the reference mark on the distributor and it was advanced  
about 8mm...
Timing belt might have slipped a tooth?

Check and clean contacts. Check.
Check current from the ECU to both sensors. Check

I'm going to try getting the VR sensor out per Ado instructions.
I remember last time I changed the Speed Sensor (very weak signal)  
out it was covered in gook.
I think it will be a whole lot easer to get out if I pull the  
distributor out.

I'll let you know the outcome.
