are not given the option of purchasing a different propulsion
echnology for our transportation that would seem on the surface to be very
conomical, reliable, "emissions free" (I put that in quotes on purpose....of
ourse I know it takes either nuclear, natural gas or coal to make the el
ectricity to charge the damn things,) etc.
Good points all, but let us not forget that electric motors produce O-zone as a pollutant. We also don't have enough electricity as it is now. In Denver we will have rolling brown-outs as air conditioners start drawing the system to overload.
Some electric cars would not be a problem. All electric cars would be a huge problem.
Lets face it - no matter what we switch cars to run on, we will probably have a shortage of it and prices will rise rapidly accordingly.
It's all about the immense number of units consuming whatever power source you choose.
