[urq] A/C issues

 Hey guys.

My A/C is acting funny. Its an R12 system converted to R134a 3 years ago. I had it working pretty good ( 38 F out the center vent on a hot sunny day) before it went into the body shop. After 2 years there it still worked!
I had my brother in law check it when I went to Carlisle, and it had 90lbs on the low-pressure side, static, at about 75 F. I got distracted ( had to cook for a dinner party of 8 that night!) and left the gauges installed, and lost 20lbs out of the low pressure side.
We charged it back up, and now, a couple weeks later, at idle and only at idle, the compressor cycles rapidly as well as the vacuum switch, independant of each other. It still blows fairly cold and will keep the car comfortable on a hot sunny day on the highway, but I'm wondering if this is a symptom of overcharge.

  Thanks!

   Gary
