[urq] pump woes

Agreed, I need to revisit this. I did a thorough cleaning back when and have flushed a
few time since, but there may be a crusty sock. But really looking for an answer to the
specific question

I still need a pump and will check this when I go to replace this one. I'm not planning
on doing an interim cleaning of the present pump and feed only to find potentially that
what sounds like a dying fuel pump is actually a dying fuel pump.

More info perhaps - I need a pump that will easily flow for 450HP, external and pretty
much bullet-proof - able to injest large quantities of sediment without failing(OK that
may be asking a bit much, but along those lines).

When you flushed the tank are you sure you got it all? Had a similar problem, turned
out to be the pick up had a mesh sock that was encrusted. Even after the tank was
cleaned and sealed had problems. I would also try blowing the lines with real low air
pressure to see if there are any obstructions inside. .
