That might be due to the fact that a car needs to get the power to the road. 
Too much juice in a front driver would only cause torque steer and smoke.

That said, we've had several of these DSG cars. It is, on the one hand a 
VERY efficient transmission. nothing shifts faster but a F 1 car or GT 2. I 
certainly can't keep up with it driving a stick, partiularly downshifiting. 
Great set up,but there are those who just want to feel they are a factor in 
the driving equation and they don't seem to feel the experience. There is, 
however, nothing that shifts faster.
