I took a pair of g60 rotors & pads off a 200 20v (and put em on mine) the car had sat for several months outside and were coated with rust, just drove around and they turned fine after a day or two, still fine today....maybe you need to do some real driving litefoot;-)

Did you do it on the bench, or on the car ? How about the inner face of the
rotors ?

purchased for about $1 from harbor freight.
I use it to remove general rust, and pad deposits.
