I read around and had mixed results. Is the wx engine an interference engine?
The other day i moved my car (intense cold the night before) it fired right up and i turned off the ignition.
A few days later i come back and try to crank it nothing, no fuel pump, etc. So i start to wonder look at the wiring since i put a mac10 in there. Nothings wrong go to the hall, not at tdc! Look at the cam not there either. Now i got kinda scared. The belt was loose and there was some scrunched up squirrel nuts no joke! , i knew it was loose tho and was planning on changing it to the newer longer style and adding a belt tension pulley. Same reason i dint put to cover back on and nuts managed to find their way in the bottom cover. Anyways it turned like 1/3 or is it 4/3? a crank turn from the cams tdc.
Now i put the cam at tdc and was able to do a whole crank turn by rolling the crank by hand with no belt on. Note it was really cold so less compression and i did it slowly. Anyways that told me that there's no broken valves but none were interfering either at that point. So put back the belt on and tightened it. Did a few engine turns with a 19mm to make sure i dint miss any sheared belt teeth then started it up till warm. Then did a compressions check. Not very high... ~120 cyl #2 is at 110psi Are these numbers normal for a high mileage engine? I never checked this engine before. I think new its supposed to be at 130psi ? My cgt's ng is at ~5psi less than factory new and at 200k. So i am a lil worried atm that i have slightly bent valves. If they are interference how much oil in cyl do i need to put to test the valves? Anybody have some results of a high milage i can compare to ?
Thanx
