The on-off-on-off behavior with changing throttle position and rpm reminded me of the beginnings of a POS channel failure on the AAN ignition system (I've had three of those, so far), except this is all cylinders cutting out rather than just one. Nathan's offered to bring a spare coil and ign module tonight. In the meantime, I'll make the 1.5 hour drive back down to see if I can limp it up here, trying the fuel pump swap if needed. Anyone have tips for a reviving a failing coil or ignition module? Will cooling off with a bag of ice or blast from upside-down computer duster spray help?
Thanks again, guys,
Eric R.
