Andrew - what about putting some sort of plug in there instead of crimping?
Yes you will lose some gas during the nasty part of getting the plug in -
but less risk of damage.

I don't know - just a thought...

Subject: [urq] Best Way to Change Fuel Pressure Accumulator

In the past I clamped off the main soft fuel supply line to stop the flow of
fuel whenever I changed the fuel pump, the fuel filters, etc. Then people
said that was not good as it might damage the fuel line. Short of draining
the tank - yeah right - is there a preferred way to stop the flow of fuel
while doing this operation? Do those rounded roller clamps they make for
this job work better to shut off the fuel? Thanks.
