It's on the back of the cilinder head .
Small two pole sensor , one for the cold light , one for the high temp .
Senor housing is mass .
This is on EU WR , I assume a WX will be thesame ;

Subject: [urq] UR Quattro overheating light
Hi
(1985 WX stock engine)
Does anyone knows what triggers the "red warning coolant" light (not the
green one) everthying looks fine from the gauges, and extra gauges that are
install.
I would like to check the wire or sensor if any one know which one it is.
Location?
Number of Pins?
Max and Min temp ranges?
oil temp is below normal
Water temp is between 180F - 210F (when it goes on)
I have a new antifeezed from the dealear
(50-50mix) dark blue (not the pink or the blue that come n the new cars)
Thermostat is opennng & closing (80C)
once the car gets warm-up the light comes on.
Thx.
The car now runs and ready to be driven after I fix this little issue.
