Well, it still makes the noise. But I've got as far a proving it's related to
airflow 'somehow'. If I cover the back of the alternator with a gloved hand
(bloacking the air intakes), it drastically reduces the noise.
Problem is, you can't block the cooling airflow.
And leads to the question: Why the noise when the alternator is on the left
(in a similar position as the stock alternator on a 4kq), but no noise from
the 4kq..?
