Agreed.  In fact, it's been a bit of a 'pet peeve' of mine over the years.
True from the beginning, for my ex-'84, and true for all the 4000qs if I'm not mistaken.
Has anyone ever seen an OEM side window graphic in an upper-case ("Q") version?

That said, back in the day Audi of America seemed to regularly get things mixed up, 
especially in print.
Not paying too much attention these days, and I'm suspicious that "Quattro" may be widely 
adopted, but still incorrect.  Badging on my 2000 S4 is still "quattro."  What about the 
later 21st-century cars?
