This is usually the result of not having the heater valve fully open when
refilling the cooling system, and filling too fast. I suggest, when you have
time, that you set the heater full on, drain the system at the back of the
block. Then refill slowly. When it is almost full, I usually start the
engine to get things moving, then I trickle in water until the bubbles are
gone.  Never had a problem on my '91 200 Avant at 314,000 miles and numerous
radiator and heater core replacements. Good luck............
