[urq] URQ fuel pump? - thoughts from Dupree

Here is a place that sells the hose & fittings... http://www.dssales.net/CIS.html
FYI: if you happen to hedge on buying the RR-engine UrQ partnumber fuel-pump instead of the WX-engine FP partnumber.. The inlet is quite a bit bigger on the unit for the RR engine. Big enough that you cannot make it work with the stock plumbing. Found this out the hard way.
On my 3B conversion project - when my FP finally died with the car still in pieces, I pulled down all the lines up to the firewall and refinished them all after de-rusting and making sure they were sound. I have decided to rid myself of the FP-accumulator and I think where my plan is headed is to take that real-estate and make a supply-side surge tank. Once I get it mocked up and installed, will document it for anyone who might be interested. This for me would be a stop-gap until I get brave enough to pull the tank to enlarge the supply nipple.
The other thing worthy of note: any of you that might hear the occasional or even regular gas-tank "poing" noise when the engine is running... Once I had the subframe and everything else out of the way under the car; I found the gas tank vent plastic line above the driveshaft and exhaust was completely melted together. The pipes weren't touching anything but the line was collapsed and sealed.
Rob D.
PS: no.. the UrQ conversion is still on jackstands but I did finally start working on it again.
