[urq] speaking of 28psi

No it is not - but I think the debate will linger forever as the cause of
high boost misfires/bent rods through blocks in 3B engines - many credible
people are convinced it is due to the distributor as opposed to a COP like
on the AAN. But as others haves said - Audi had some very high hp race
powerplants running a dizzy. Different one?

Let's get the party started.

Ahhhh...
That is _not_ a "stock" 3B, which is what I was thinking of earlier.

his is the hardware:
RS2 turbo
S2 exhaust manifold (extrude honed)
ead is extrude honed.
S2 exhaust cam
S2 injectors
S2 MAF
auter rods
djustable fuel pressure regulator
ew distributor with metal gear and correct small tip rotor orsche 951
intercooler

he 28psi is not a spike. I haven't stayed there long, but I think it ill
hold there. Mike www.urq20v.com

Ok. I'll bite. 28 psi? Is that spiking there with pullback or extended
bout? Better have lots of mods - especially exhaust manifold lest you like
burning valves. Highest boost I ran in my 200q20v with Hoppen chipped box
was 25 psi
 - yeeeha! But that k24 didn't like that so much and the oil seal went not
too long after...

I've been told by experts I trust that the 3B will support 18 PSI very well
and that 20 will take you to the edge of the abyss, but may last if not
pushed as in a track scenario. I would guess 28 would overstress vital
internal engine components. Others will probably post that they are running
"xx" PSI for years with no problems, but I _personally_ I wouldn't go over
20.

Can you safely run 28psi on a 3B?

s anyone doing it and keeping the distributor?
I'm curious why MTM would make a 3B chipset that will... udifans urq
