The fit of the Jeff Lewis piece in my '84 was done at the time of fitting a new clutch-MC, and new steering-rack; while engine and trans were out. I had to trim approx 3mm at the 2-4 o'clock position where the bracket meets the steering rack; in order to get the bolt holes close. Then a bit of widening to the mounting holes around that steering rack bolt-to-body side.

After doing that, the sequence of getting the bracket, rack and bolts turned out to be very specific in order to make it go together smoothly. I cannot imagine that this would be any fun with engine in situ. Just checking my photo-log, and it does not appear I have images pertaining to the bracket and where I had to trim. Sorry.

But I am glad I did it. There was an attempt by someone other than me in the ownership chain; where a bolt & bar-stock clutch brace was attempted and not working. My firewall was showing small stress-cracks in line with the Clutch MC bolts & pass through. I decided luckily ahead of time that a new MC, new slave and new hose was in order as well as new clutch pedal bushings to make everything feel new again. Currently am waiting for my stainless braided clutch hose to show up from Paragon.
