[urq] Cylinder head retorque

Assuming you've measured torque with a cold engine , I'de say
this isn't necessarily abnormal .

With a hot engine , torque will be higher , that's what stretchbolts are for
.
They kinda act like a spring .

That said , the audi 10VT engines do have bit of a bad rep for
headgasket problems if they need to be replaced .
Did you have the head machined to straighten the surface ?
I ususally have both block and head machined when changing gasket .
Most of the time this avoids problems .

I've heard that using stud bolts and nuts is a better option then the
stretch bolts .
Unconfirmed ., never did it .
Onother rumour I've heard is that the all metal head gasket from the AAN and
ABY engines
also fits the 10V 's , and that it's a better option .
Once again unconfirmed .
