[urq] Central Door Locking Failure

If you no longer hear the pump; it is most likely toasted. It is a
vacuum/pressure pump that has both a bimetal strip that opens the circuit as
the vacuum/pressure reaches its designed max (door locks fully opened or
closed) and heat breaks the circuit until the lock circuit. is activated
again. It has a backup system in case there is a leak that shuts the pump
off after 1-2 minutes; otherwise, if you had a leak and locked the car upon
exit, the pump would run until the battery died. Normal run time is 5-10
seconds. (I ran into this issue this past weekend with Gary Bergman's
29,800mi enclosed trailer queen. Gary has to enter and exit the car through
the window when it is in the trailer. (So he doesn't nick the doors on the
inner trailer wheel wells.) He pushes the door lock button down when he gets
in and by the time he backed it out and asked me to get in; he couldn't pull
the passenger door lock button up because there was a vacuum leak and the
pump was still trying to pull the lock button down; so we had to wait until
the pump shut off.) Any more than 10 seconds and you have a leak somewhere
in the system. Finding it can be difficult and I think the easiest way is to
blow smoke through the system. /Peter
