[urq] Small chassis radiators

Just a data point to complete the very pertinent comment about the shrouding
(must be complete and tight).
My stock urQ with the stock 3-row radiator and auxiliary rad never
experienced any overheating even in the ice track events. These events, even
if they are held during winter, produce a lot of heat on the small
Mecaglisse track : many wide-open throttle sections, followed by numerous
throttle blips to attain the proper drifting angle, slow speed, the car is
always at an angle with the airflow, you see the picture. Just to express
how much heat is generated : the fuel consumption triples during these
events, so you can imagine the heat produced (everything is glowing red
after 15 minutes)...
Now, after the dead 3-row was replaced with a (free) 2-row rad from a Coupe
GT (with 2 additional nipples welded to make it a clone of the 3-row rad),
the temps are always a bit high. So, I must conclude that the 3-row OEM rad
is flowing enough for a stock engine.
But what you can do instead of changing the rad is to add some airflow to
the OEM 3-row : install a more powerful fan in place of the stock fan, or
maybe add another fan in front of the rad, and have a separate switch/wiring
operate that fan full-time when you feel you'll need it. This setup is found
on many older rally cars.

Stock radiator with good shrouding and fan should do it.
It seems shrouding doesn't get much attention, but it's important/ If the
cooling air doesn't actually go through the rad, who cares how big and
efficient the rad is supposed to be?
Cheers,
Brady
