[urq] re-quattro-ing a quattro - ALSO

Thanks for your note, Keith. It's amazing how much I've changed since
I maxed out two credit cards and emptied my savings to buy this car at
25yo 11 years ago. Back then it was get it low, get the stereo amped,
and make it faster (intercooler) with little regard to the terrible
manual brake settup or lack of power steering...now days I would
settle for a lot less raw aggression and more liveability, including
proper alignment. Some swear they have done just fine with lowered
cars but my experience has not beared out that way.
I think I'll always want a 911 but I could go a long way toward making
the urq how I want it for the price of a few minor repairs on the 911;
all quirks included it's still a much better value for the money and
twice the horesepower...cracking up re: "beetley thing"; I've sure
gotten a range of emotional responses regarding ditching the urq for a
911...
Nice to hear from you,
Jon
Some time back I did have a set of studded 195/65 Nokians ans I was
amazed at how much more civil the driving manners became.
