Brendan,
Thanks, no friendly neighborhood car close, those I did catch Francois' 81 at Mt Washington!
Engine was not fussed with while out, so pretty sure the timing is OK. As an 81 no frequency valve either.  In the interim I am cheating by upping the overall enrichment but will put a fuel pressure gauge on it when I get a chance though I doubt that went bad as the car only sat a month or so.  It has had MUCH longer inactive stretches with no I'll effects.  I'm deinately leading to electrical as in the last 2 days I R&Rd the motor mounts and found the left side motor mount to chassis ground strap chopped off.  Probably during motor pull.  I replaced it and got more enrichment but not enough.
