Hello Pat:
I've had a tube that was broken, right at the sunroof end, leaking
water into the headliner.
As you have found, replacement looked daunting. In my case, I managed
to fish the tube, then used the sting to pull through a smaller tube
inside the original tube. Had to 'seal' the smaller tube at the top
opening of the original tube with some silicon glue so that water
would be forced in the the smaller tube..
