[urq] Audi Axle Lengths Question

Given the small diameter of the axle would slight variance in diameter resulting from welding really cause vibration? I would agree that if it was not welded straight it would be an issue but it is hollow right so I could slip a rod down the center for alignment? Thanks. Andrew.
