When my car died on the side of the road I tried to swap in spare flywheel sensors.   The side sensor was easily replace but the top rpm sensor was stuck in there.   Trying to coach it out , a screwdriver let me pivot a corner back via leverage against the engine, but I couldn't get it back to parallel with the bellhousing.    So it's in but tipped back, which seems like it would make it tougher or maybe impossible to count flywheel teeth.  Being tipped, I can't re-insert it's small retaining bolt.

Anyone BTDT on having one stuck in there?  Can I lightly hammer on that black plastic,  pull it out with pliers?

It's at a shop now.  I could be adding to the shops diagnosis problems if the car dies, and then after that I mess up a sendor.   It had seemed to fire spark though, even after this mess up.
