Regarding the 4:11 setup
The stock driveshaft is used
The 4k rear case will accept the v8 internals but should be adjusted (shimmed) professionally .
The outer case is plug 'n play 
When  you go shopping for a v8 rear diff just have the internals shipped to you
Saves shipping costs & the case is just a boat anchor anyway 
It wouldn't hurt to balance your driveshaft
