Don't be so scared. If its over 25 years old it comes in unconditionally. That's the rule as per the nhtsa. The EPA don't care beyond 20 years. Therefore emissions are up to the individual states.
Another school of fish that I swim with are importing Lancia delta Integrales as we speak, one 1989 arrived and was registered on jan 4th this year and there are two more on the boat.
