[urq] ADMIN: Bounced From List?

While completing the recovery from my computer's failure I was cleaning out
my e-mail spam folder and found a bunch of messages about bounce actions
from the server.  As far as I can tell it was only the urq list that was
affected.  I saw a few familiar e-mail addresses on the list (including
mine!), and now that I'm thinking about it I remember seeing the message the
server sent to me and going to reactivate my account.  This event actually
took place in early May, but I thought I'd send out this message to explain
to the group why they may have seen a message back when.  I did some spot
checks and found that it appears that people had gone ahead and reactivated
their accounts, but when I have some time I'll go through the list and
verify that all are aware.  

 

So, if you remember seeing a "Bounce Action" message from the urq server
back then and wondered why it may have happened to you, it was a part of an
event where the server must have received a failing response from the
network for many addresses it had tried sending e-mail to .

 

As always you can contact me directly should you notice any odd behavior in
your connection to the list.  

 

BTW . since I'm talking about list related topics . Dan has created an
audifans presence on Facebook, and those who are on FB can get info about
what may be going on with the servers (such as the more recent Marketplace
failure & resurrection) there.
